Cats, Inc.
Anyone who reads this blog or my Twitter knows I have the weirdest and most awesome cats. I mean, come on!

The Doctor!!

Scoutie!!
Anyways, the awesome rescue organization I adopted my kitties through, Cats, Inc., now has a Facebook page, so if you’re in the Los Angeles area and looking for your own kitty — or from anywhere with too much money in your wallet and want to donate some — I urge you to check them out. I don’t know if you’ve ever dealt with any rescue organizations – but some of them are a little… overzealous. My brother was adopted, and I swear there was less drama in that than some of these places require. But there’s none of that with Cats, Inc. The rescuers are all kind, non-drama people, and kitties who’ve been abandoned get plenty of love and attention, so despite rough starts in life, my kitties were totally affectionate and trusting. I mean, as much as cats ever trust people.
(Oh, and these photos were taken by the divine Brandi Ediss. Brandi’s a Chicago-based photographer who mostly photographs adorable kids, but does great pet shots as well.)

God, Scout is so pretty. And, in my mind, she is still hoping for John Green and David Levithan to come by for a slumber party. Poor kitty!
I just know Scout is always waiting in vain for them.
Your cats are so lovely. Boethius Linn Jess (aka The Face of Boe) joins them in weirdest, most awesome cats. But just for him, I’ll add most misbehaving cat.
The Doctor is so handsome! Does he like bowties?
I think the Doctor prefers the fashion stylings of Ten. You can’t see it well, but his collar is chocolate brown with a blue argyle pattern. Also his fur and eyes are the appropriate colors already! I named him because when he was a baby, he didn’t trust humans and thought all females needed his protection. It just seemed apropos.
My kitties, amazingly, are not that badly behaved. They honestly get into less trouble than most cats I’ve known.
Poor Scout! Boys will let you down, especially if they are married and/or gay and live out of state. Next time I visit, I will bring kitty treats and YA lit to help heal disappointment.
Damn my allergies or I’d have catnapped them months ago. They are both truly gorgeous. The Doctor is a Stealth Snuggler and Scout is ever-so-slightly judgmental but that’s why I love her.
Sarah, I’m sure if you tried, The Doctor would be a willing captive.
omg! they are beautiful! and adorable!
